1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GOAT Creative Studio Pte Ltd website located at goatstudio.sg and the interior design and renovation services we provide.

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our website or services.

3. Services

GOAT Creative Studio provides interior design and renovation services including but not limited to:

  • Interior design consultation and space planning
  • HDB, condominium, and commercial renovation
  • Carpentry and custom furniture
  • Electrical, plumbing, and installation works
  • Project management and coordination

All services are subject to a separate written agreement between you and GOAT Creative Studio.

4. Consultation and Quotation

Initial consultations are provided to discuss your project requirements. Following consultation, we will provide a detailed quotation outlining:

  • Scope of work
  • Materials and specifications
  • Timeline
  • Payment terms
  • Total project cost

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices may be subject to change after this period or if project scope changes.

5. Payment Terms

Our standard payment structure for renovation projects is:

  • 15% upon signing of Agreement
  • 40% upon commencement of Renovation Works
  • 40% upon completion of Wet Works, before Carpentry Measurement, or Installation Works (whichever is earlier)
  • 5% upon completion of Renovation Works

Payment may be made via bank transfer, cheque, or other agreed methods. All payments must be made according to the schedule specified in your service agreement.

6. Project Timeline

We will provide an estimated project timeline based on the scope of work. While we strive to meet all deadlines, timelines may be affected by:

  • Unforeseen site conditions
  • Changes to project scope
  • Delays in material delivery
  • Regulatory approvals
  • Force majeure events

We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize their impact.

7. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and requirements
  • Obtain necessary approvals from building management or HDB
  • Ensure site access for our team during agreed working hours
  • Make timely decisions on design selections and material choices
  • Make payments according to the agreed schedule
  • Notify us of any concerns or issues promptly

8. Changes and Variations

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be documented in a Variation Order (VO). Changes may affect project timeline and cost. We will provide written notification of any additional costs before proceeding with variations.

9. Warranty and After-Sales Service

We provide a workmanship warranty of 1-2 years (as specified in your service agreement) from the date of project completion. The warranty covers:

  • Defects in workmanship
  • Structural issues arising from our work

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Manufacturer defects in supplied products (covered by manufacturer warranties)

We provide lifetime advisory support for maintenance and care of your renovation.

10. Cancellation and Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement under the following conditions:

  • By mutual written agreement
  • If the other party breaches material terms and fails to remedy within 14 days of written notice
  • If payment is not received according to the agreed schedule

In the event of cancellation, you will be responsible for payment of work completed up to the termination date, plus any costs incurred for materials ordered or work in progress.

11. Liability and Indemnification

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our work. Our liability is limited to the value of the service agreement. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • Delays or issues caused by third parties
  • Pre-existing conditions or hidden defects in the property

12. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and plans created by GOAT Creative Studio remain our intellectual property. You are granted a license to use these materials for the specific project only. Reproduction, modification, or use for other purposes requires our written consent.

13. Photography and Marketing

We may photograph completed projects for marketing purposes. By engaging our services, you grant us permission to use images of your completed project in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials unless you expressly opt out in writing.

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to:

  • Small Claims Tribunal (for claims under SGD $30,000)
  • Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) mediation
  • Singapore courts for formal legal proceedings

15. Website Use

When using our website, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Not use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Not transmit harmful code or malware

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access to our website for violation of these terms.

16. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, labor disputes, or supplier failures.

18. Compliance with Laws

All renovation work will comply with relevant Singapore regulations including:

  • HDB renovation guidelines and regulations
  • Building Control Act
  • Fire Safety Act
  • Environmental Public Health Act

You are responsible for obtaining necessary approvals from building management or HDB where required.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
